I was going to suggest upgrading the firmware; the newer version was more stable.

The lack of software tools provided with the Belkin is a pretty big oversight.

I may go complain to Belkin at CES about it if I find 5 minutes in my schedule. The Gigabit devices provide more raw speed than the 70Mbps Netgear 4 port Powerline bridge devices, but the Netgear devices have 4 ports and better software.

On a per-port/device basis, I would have to buy another two or three Gigabit devices AND play cable swap in some instances.

Here's to hoping Belkin rolls out a 4 port Gigabit Powerline adapter at CES...

Just updated using this updater: http://en-uk-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/835/kw/Gigabit%20Powerline/r_id/166
Now running 23569 firmware - seems to have resolved my ping/connection drop issues. I can now see the units swapping between the higher and lower homeplug speeds with the indicator light swapping from blue to amber semi randomly. Kinda annoying you can't see the speeds in a windows app like yea can with the Netgear units...oh mumm

After using the adapters after my old Netgear 200 units gave up the ghost I got a pair of Belkin Gigabit adapters - using them in the same sockets as my old Netgear units (they are now in the trash) and their speed isn't any better - but now I have another problem, the connection through them drops at random.
Try doing ping tests to a device on the far end of the Belkin Gigabit connection, I've noticed i get dropped pings every 5-10 pings. Very annoying...

I haven't installed the beta firmware, but I'm getting disconnects every few hours or days. I live in a house that was built within the last 3 years so I don't think the wiring is to blame.
